Onto the Floor!

Finally, we've moved from the walls to the ceiling to the floor. I imagine that many of you thought we'd just leave the floor as a painted subfloor, but with the new Big-A floor looking so professional we just couldn't do it. We decided to put slate in the entry-way and the bathroom. Since slate seemed so cold if you look closely, that grey piece of fabric mat, that's the key to all happiness--radiant floor heating! We'll have to wait a few days for the mortar to set up before testing, but we expect it to be really close to heaven. Hopefully we'll show you the rest of the floor soon.

All of the little white dots are spacers and will be removed shortly.

Shower Time!

Finally we're getting to some of the finish work on the house. We started putting up the tile in the shower today and should have all the tile done sometime soon.

What we've all been waiting for!

Well, now that the summer has come and gone and the Bow-Isle Outdoor Centre has concluded it's season, we finally began work on the quiet house once again. In our last installment you saw the quiet house with no ceiling or floor, but it had furniture. We removed all the furniture and fixtures to enable us to once again make a mess of the house, it didn't take us long. After countless hours of labor by Aaron Morris and Warren Curkendall we finally got the ceiling up and stained.

We even managed to get the window trim up as well!
